Request account deletion
You can make a request without installing or signing in to the NearlyTeacher app. This page applies to accounts used on the NearlyTeacher website and mobile apps.
- Email equaleduk@gmail.com with the subject NearlyTeacher account deletion request. Use your registered email address where possible.
- Tell us which account you want deleted. For a learner account, state whether you are the account holder, parent, guardian or authorised school representative. Include only the information needed to identify the account.
- Support will verify your identity and your authority over the account before acting. If you cannot access the registered email address, tell support so they can help verify your request.
If the button does not open an email app, send your request directly to equaleduk@gmail.com. Opening this email link does not send a request or delete any data.
Account and data covered by your request
An account deletion request covers the account and its associated personal data, including account and contact details, learner profile information, test answers and results, progress and review history, and linked device and session records, subject to the retention exceptions below.
If an account manages more than one learner, identify the account or learner profile concerned. Support will clarify the scope before acting; do not request deletion of records you are not authorised to manage.
Processing and retention
Requests are handled by support after verification; deletion is not immediate or automatic. Contact support for the expected completion timeframe and any retention period that applies to your request.
As explained in our Privacy Policy, deletion may take time to propagate through protected backups. Limited records may be retained where legally required or necessary to prevent fraud and protect children. Support can explain any applicable retention before your request is completed.
Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your NearlyTeacher account or information held by the service.
Other privacy requests
For access, correction, export or questions about particular data, contact Support. State clearly if you want to keep your account; do not use an account deletion request for a sign-in problem.
