Effective date: 11 September 2026
These terms apply to the NearlyTeacher website and mobile apps operated by EqualEd AI Ltd. By using NearlyTeacher, the account holder agrees to these terms. A child must use the service with the authorisation and supervision required from their parent, guardian or school.
Educational purpose
NearlyTeacher provides practice questions, marking, explanations and progress information to support learning. It complements, but does not replace, teaching, professional educational assessment or safeguarding support. Content availability varies by curriculum and year group.
Accounts
Account information must be accurate and kept secure. You must not share access outside the authorised household or school context, attempt to access another learner's information, or use the service in a way that harms a child or another person. Please tell us promptly if an account may have been compromised.
Acceptable use
You may use NearlyTeacher for personal or authorised educational purposes. You must not disrupt the service, bypass security controls, scrape or resell content, reverse engineer protected assessment material, upload unlawful content, or use the platform to harass, exploit or endanger anyone.
Content and results
We work to keep educational content accurate and age-appropriate. If you find a suspected error, report it through Support. Progress indicators and explanations are learning aids and should be considered alongside the learner's broader work and teacher guidance.
Offline access and availability
Downloaded content may remain available offline, but sign-in, initial downloads, synchronisation and some features require a connection. We may update, correct, retire or temporarily suspend content and services for safety, security or maintenance.
Intellectual property
NearlyTeacher, its software, branding and supplied educational content are owned by or licensed to EqualEd AI Ltd. These terms grant a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership.
Privacy and account closure
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. An authorised account holder may request account deletion through the NearlyTeacher website and Support. Account deletion is not performed inside the student mobile app. We may suspend access where necessary to protect learners, users or the service.
Liability and consumer rights
NearlyTeacher is provided with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by misuse, unauthorised access, third-party connectivity or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited, including applicable consumer rights.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms when the service or law changes. The current version and effective date will remain available here. Questions can be sent to:
